Who: Open to those on the mountain excursion
Where: Just leaving the camp site
When: Sunday late morning
What: Leaving will be harder than anticipated
Warnings: Here there be action
Breakfast had been eaten, records had been sealed in protective and magical casings, camp had been struck… it was time to head back to Peridexion. The transport-dragons had been laden down with the gear, and were just about to start boarding passengers when one of the smaller dragons suddenly called out an alarm. Hostiles spotted, hostiles incoming! They were dragons!
They weren’t actually dragons, but they were larger than the smallest dragon in the camp, and they were definitely reptilian. At least a dozen of the creatures were waddling towards the human portions of camp at double-time… or, well, what passed for double-time, for something that basically looked like a vivid green, fifteen foot komodo lizard with frog-like eyes and a wide, hungry-looking mouth. They snapped at each other as much as in the direction of their quarry, quarrelsome and obviously not used to traveling in a group, but they were still definitely incoming, and definitely hostile. The military among the expedition immediately set about forming a barricade against the civilians, and the transport dragons dove into the fray almost immediately. Any passengers already aboard, well... better hold on tight.
For the sharp-eyed, though, weaving among the monsters and goading them on, was, in fact, one singular dragon. Good luck catching that one, though.
